Class Song

I noticed our (lack of) class verse or motto. If I remember correctly, we're going to need a class song, too. Could someone correct me if I'm wrong? If so, we should probably start thinking about that as well. In years past, they had a bit of a last minute call on the song because no one had come up with one that everyone could agree on.

  1. We do need a class song. Last year they had one, but I can't remember what it was.

  2. What does the class motto look like usually? About how long, etc? Yes, we should all get a verse picked out, and a song! What are some that mean a lot to you guys? That have really meant a lot, spoken to you, challenged you, or just blessed and encouraged you?

  3. @Jem: Last year it was "Let it Be Said of Us"

@Isabella: It must be long enough to attempt to describe us, but short enough to fit on the cover of a yearbook. Yeah, it won't be very easy ;)

  4. Psalm 16:1 popped into my head this afternoon, and I immediately thought "this might be a good class verse!" Haha, I also really like the song Come thy Fount.

  5. It sounds like everyone needs to just start throwing out ideas for all three, and then we can have time to consider them and choose.

    1. @Timothy - Second that. ;)
@Jem, I like Psalms 16:1 too. Some other great verses.... Philippians 3:14, Joshua 1:9, Psalms 91:1-2, and Isaiah 40:31.

  6. Wow! All of those verses are amazing! I think I may have a hard time choosing which one I like best :) Of those, I would say Joshua 1:9, Isaiah 40:31 and Psalm 91:1-2 are my favorites. As far as a class motto, I will just throw one out there; the first idea that came to my head was "Let us be strong in the Lord". I guess that kind of fits with Joshua 1:9.
One hymn that I have always loved is "Amazing Grace".

    1. That's weird, why do I keep clicking to reply and having my comment show up not as a reply?:)
